

Zomba Label Group recently presented Marvin Sapp (above, center) with a plaque commemorating the Recording Industry Association of America's (RIAA) Gold certification of Thirsty (Verity Records) for shipments of more than 500,000 units. The album, which was released on July 3, 2007, features the record-breaking No. 1 hit single, "Never Would Have Made It." The song is longest running No. 1 radio single in the history of the BDS chart, having spent a total of 47 weeks in the No. 1 position at gospel radio, according to a press release.
